We are looking for an English Literature Teacher for a High School based in Chengdu. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in May 2025.

 

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Teach English literature to high school students
  • Prepare and develop long-range and daily plans in advance that are appropriate for students and in line with the AP curriculum
  • Be responsible for implementing different types of assessment, providing high quality feedback to students and using assessment to plan instruction
  • Maintain accurate and complete records as required
  • Working schedule is from Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm with a 2 hours lunch break

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, major in Education or Humanities
  • Appropriate teaching qualification, and at least 2 years’ experience in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) or other Humanities subjects
  • Excellent communications skills

 

Salary and benefits

  • Monthly salary of 23,000 to 25,000 RMB commensurate with experience and qualifications
