Primary Years Programme (PYP) Coordinator

We are looking for a Primary Years Programme (PYP) Coordinator for an international school in Ningbo. This is a full-time position starting in February 2025.

About the school

This school is affiliated with an education group, established in 1999, offering two curriculum systems: bilingual A class (five-four system) and bilingual B class (six-three system). It boasts features such as nine-year compulsory education, open enrollment to residents of any place of residence, full boarding, and small-class teaching.

Job responsibilities

• Training and mentoring of PYP teachers
• Whole School implementation of the PYP program
• Ensure that all requirements of the IBO concerning the implementation of the program are adhered to
• Organization of whole school planning including being in charge of the Daily Organization Diary.
• Work with the Chinese PYP assistant in collaborative planning and making sure Language B curriculum meets IBO standards
• Co-ordinate parent and community information regarding PYP via information sessions, newsletters, reports, assemblies, school displays
• Maintain accurate PYP Budget records
• Annually lead reviews of the Program of Inquiry
• Teacher responsibilities

Job requirements

• Bachelor degree or above in the related subject
• Teaching certificate
• Two or more years working experience in IB school
• Excellent communications skills
• Good understanding of teaching in IB context
