We are looking for a Physics Teacher for a bilingual school based in Shanghai. This is a full-time position starting  in August 2024.

 

About the school

A bilingual school, which was founded five years ago, is situated in the middle of the Pudong district of Shanghai. It provides bilingual teaching to students from first grade to the 12th grade of elementary, middle and high school. The school follows the Chinese national curriculum and has elements from the British IGCSE and A levels curriculums to meet the academic needs of its students.

 

Job details

  • Teach the school’s physics subject to school secondary students aging from 11 to 18 years old
  • Preparing lessons and lectures, tutoring techniques, designing and correcting assessments, and writing report comments
  • Assess and monitor students’ progress and provide targets so that all learners can succeed and improve
  • Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and their parents and caregivers
  • Attend regular subject meetings of Physics staff at which curriculum planning, student progress, and teaching and learning needs are discussed and improvements can be shared;

 

Requirements

  • Degree with Physics as the sole or major focus
  • Formal teaching qualification. Bachelor/Master Degree in Education, PGCE certificate are acceptable.
  • At least two years’ teaching experience of teaching Physics to all age groups 11 to 18 years old
  • Experience of A-Level or IGCSE students will be beneficial
  • Excellent English communicative skills

 

Salary and benefits

  • Monthly salary of 22,000 to 27,000 RMB before tax commensurate with experience and qualifications
