We are looking for an English ESL Teacher for an International School located in Sanya. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in August 2023.

Located in Sanya, commonly known as the Hawaii of China. This international K-12 school incorporates elements of both Chinese and Western cultures in its kindergarten, primary, middle, and high school divisions. With a team of educators from around the world, the school offers a bilingual education that is forward-thinking and that prepares students to be successful in a global setting.

 

Job responsibilities

  • Teach English ESL courses to middle and high school students
  • Preparing lessons and lectures, tutoring techniques, designing and correcting assessments, and writing report comments
  • Co-teach with teachers and develop and improve school-based curriculum
  • Assess and monitor students’ progress and provide targets so that all learners can succeed and improve
  • Provide clear and constructive feedback to students
  • Working Time is Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm

 

Job requirements

  • Bachelor degree or above
  • Teaching qualification or equivalent teaching/training experience
  • Past experience in teaching ESL
  • IB curriculum experience preferred
  • Eligible to apply the teaching visa in China
  • Excellent English communication skills

 

Salary and Benefits

  • Monthly salary of 15000 to 25000 before tax, depending on qualification and experience
  • Housing allowance of 5000 RMB per month
  • Holidays: Chinese public holidays
  • Airfare allowance: 8000 RMB a year after fulfillment of the one-year contract
