Studio Engineer

As a Studio Engineer, you are the bridge between design and engineering. You must assist the designers to communicate with technical engineers so as to ensure that the design scheme conform to the engineering feasibility can be realized in mass production. We need 3-4 for studio engineering.

• Participate in the feasibility analysis of the modeling design scheme (product structure design, production process)
• Organize meetings for modeling and engineering problem exchange, keep track of issues that have not been agreed upon between engineering and modeling, and propose modeling/engineering solutions
• Evaluate the impact of engineering information closely related to the design of interior and exterior decoration on the styling design (DFP, Section, and other hard point information);
• Summarize all engineering conditions, make a tracking table to control project problem-solving, and support the design team to realize the design intention while ensuring that the design conforms to the engineering feasibility

Requirements

• Bachelor degree or above in mechanical/automotive engineering
• Experience as a modeling engineer in the automotive industry and understanding of technical limitations so as to achieve design ideas
• Expertise in engineering development, experience in design and validation of both entire vehicle and components
• Excellent communication skills to bridge between design and engineering, and a keen eye for aesthetics and perceived quality
• Strong hands-on skills, good sense of teamwork, an innovative mind and a customer-focused mindset
• At least 3 years of CATIAV 5 experience, strong CATIA modeling skills, interior and exterior decoration master section design skills, feasibility analysis skills
• English, spoken and written at professional level
