We are looking for a Science Teacher for a school based in Chengdu. This is a full-time position starting from the academic year in August 2023.

 

Job Descriptions

  • Teach science subjects to primary school students, plan and prepare lessons, assignments, instructional materials for Science
  • Establish learning objectives consistent with appraisal of student needs, curriculum framework, and enhance improvement of STEAM skills for all students
  • Prepare, administrate and correct evaluations and assessments, and records results
  • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests for success in higher science courses
  • Participate in curriculum writing and actively participates in staff/faculty meetings and provides input regarding the planning of instruction goals, objectives and methods;
  • Plan at least one extra-curricular activity for students. Promote cross-cultural understanding among students
  • Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and their parents and caregivers
  • Attend staff/faculty meetings and provides input regarding the planning of instruction goals, objectives and methods
  • Maintain order and discipline in the classroom conducive to effective learning and takes all necessary safety precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities

 

Requirements

  • Excellent academic literacy in English, and excellent verbal and written English language skills.
  • Bachelor degree of Science/technology, engineering, related subjects supported with a Teacher Certification/ Qualification
  • At least two years of teaching experience in related subject
  • Previous experience of teaching with an ESL, or start-up environment will be advantageous
  • Ability to infuse technology into curriculum

 

Salary and benefits

  • Monthly salary of 18,000 to 28,000 RMB commensurate with experience and qualifications
