Principal

We are looking for a Principal for an International Elementary and Middle School based in Beijing. This is a full-time position commencing from the upcoming academic year or ASAP.

About the role

Administration

Effectively manage day-to-day school operations, oversee student admissions, placements, and records, manage facilities, supervise students, assign teacher responsibilities, strengthen parent-school relationships, cultivate staff leadership, comply with regulatory requirements, conduct staff meetings, and support educational program development and implementation.

Academic

Coordinate curriculum planning and implementation, teach specific subjects, manage curriculum development and evaluation, oversee curriculum delivery and student discipline, monitor staff and curriculum performance, track student progress, and plan staff professional development.

General

Uphold high standards of staff performance and professionalism, promote respect and teamwork, liaise with school leadership for cohesive relationships, assist in student recruitment and promotion, maintain positive relationships with various stakeholders, review and maintain key handbooks, and ensure health, welfare, and safety within the department.

Qualifications

• Master degree or higher in Education Administration/Leadership
• Master degree or higher in Teaching/Education
• Minimum three years’ experience in education administration
• Minimum five years’ experience in Secondary teaching
• Excellent human relationship skills
• Deep understanding of Chinese and Western culture
• Demonstrated ability to plan and implement
