Primary Years Programme IB Coordinator

We are seeking for a Primary Years Programme IB Coordinator for an international school based in Kunshan. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in August 2024.

About the role

This role involves overseeing the implementation and development of the Primary Years Programme (PYP) at an international school. The coordinator is responsible for managing PYP documentation, promoting professional development for staff, ensuring the availability of necessary resources, and maintaining effective communication within the school and with the International Baccalaureate organization. This position plays a crucial role in supporting teachers, guiding curriculum development, and enhancing educational standards to provide a comprehensive and engaging learning environment for students. As well as:

• Familiarize and promote the use of all Primary Years Programme (PYP) documents
• Maintain updated records of IB PYP planners and the school’s program of inquiry
• Regularly develop and review the school's curriculum documents
• Establish policies for assessment and language learning in alignment with PYP standards

Professional Development

• Inform staff about professional development opportunities and recommend relevant sessions
• Maintain records of workshop attendance and participation
• Support teachers and students in preparing for the PYP exhibition
• Resource Management
• Recommend resources to support the implementation of the PYP
• Manage an inventory of resources to enhance collaboration

Communication

• Ensure compliance with all IB implementation requirements
• Set up systems for staff communication and collaboration
• Conduct parent information sessions and update the school community through newsletters
• Serve as a liaison between the school and the IB, maintaining communication and facilitating school visits

Salary and benefits

• Monthly salary of 36,000 to 37,000 RMB commensurate with experience and qualifications
