Primary School Principal

We are looking for a primary school principal for a private K12 School based in Beijing. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in August or September 2023.

About the school

Private school based in Beijing. It is among the first schools in China authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). Offering boarding and day school facilities, it caters to students in primary, middle, and high school levels, encompassing both local and international students. With a diverse community of over 500 staff from various countries and regions, the institution presently houses 75 classes and over 2000 students.

Job responsibilities

• Oversee the overall development and implementation of primary school curricula, ensuring alignment with IB standards and local regulations
• Manage and provide leadership to a team of primary school teachers, supporting them in their professional growth and development
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the primary school
• Collaborate with other school leaders to ensure the smooth operation of the school as a whole
• Build strong partnerships with parents and other stakeholders in the education community
• Ensure the school environment is safe, clean, and conducive to learning
• Champion academic and character development programs that promote students’ success

Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years’ experience as a primary school principal or equivalent leadership position in an international primary school setting
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an IB school
• Master’s degree or higher in Education or a related field
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese
• A deep understanding of PYP curriculum and education technology
• Experience in teacher development, recruitment, and retention
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

任职要求

• 至少8年在国际小学担任校长或同等领导职务的经验。
• 至少3年IB学校工作经验
• 教育或相关专业硕士及以上学历。
• 优秀的沟通、人际关系和领导能力。
• 流利的英语和普通话。
• 对PYP课程和教育技术有深刻的理解。
• 有教师发展、招聘和管理方面的经验。
• 能够独立工作，并作为团队的一员，在快节奏，动态的环境中工作。
