Music Teacher

We are looking for a Music Teacher for a Bilingual School in Changsha. This is a full-time position starting in February 2024.

About the school

A bilingual educational institution located in Changsha, Hunan, provides educational services from early childhood (1-year-old) to the end of secondary school (18 years old). The school follows the Chinese national curriculum, but also incorporates aspects from the International Baccalaureate, such as teaching approaches, strategies and assessment techniques, into its educational programs.

Job responsibilities

• Teach the subject of music to middle and high school students and ensuring an engaging and enriching learning experience
• Preparing lessons and lectures, tutoring techniques, designing and correcting assessments, and writing report comments
• Collaboratively teach alongside fellow educators, actively contributing to the development and enhancement of the school's curriculum
• Assess and monitor students’ progress and provide targets so that all learners can succeed and improve
• Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and their parents and caregivers
• Develop supportive and safe learning environments

Job requirements

• Bachelor degree or above in the related subject
• Teaching certificate
• Two or more years teaching experience in the subject
• Excellent communications skills
• IB experience is preferred

Salary and benefits

• Monthly salary range of 24,000 to 30,000 RMB and is negotiable commensurate with experience and qualifications
• Housing allowance of 2,000 RMB
