Middle School Science Teacher

We are looking a Middle School Science Teacher for an international school located in Beijing. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in August, 2023.

Job Description

• Prepare and deliver Biology, Chemistry and Integrated Science classes to a range of classes to middle school students
• Mark work, give appropriate feedback and maintain records of pupils' progress and development Research new topic areas, maintaining up-to-date subject knowledge, and devise and write new curriculum materials
• Prepare pupils for external examinations
• Manage pupil behavior in the classroom and on school premises, and apply appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehavior
• Undertake pastoral duties, such as taking on the role of homeroom teacher, and supporting pupils on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties

Job Requirements

• At least a Bachelor of Science with specialty in Biology related field
• PGCE Postgraduate Degree in Education or Related Teaching Subject preferable
• Familiar with IGCSE syllabus and IB MYP concept-based teaching methodology preferable
• At least 3 years of teaching experience preferable

Salary and Benefits

• Salary: 22,000 – 30,000 RMB per month (after tax, negotiable upon certificates and teaching experience)
