Middle School English Teacher

We are looking a Middle School English Teacher for an international school located in Guangzhou. This is a full-time position starting ASAP.

The school is a private international language school which located in Guangzhou; it consists of primary, middle, American high school program, IEP program and a Korean department.

Job Description

• Prepare and deliver lessons to a range of classes to middle school students utilizing the MYP framework
• Mark work, give appropriate feedback and maintain records of pupils' progress and development Research new topic areas, maintaining up-to-date subject knowledge, and devise and write new curriculum materials
• Prepare pupils for external examinations
• Manage pupil behavior in the classroom and on school premises, and apply appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehavior
• Undertake pastoral duties, such as taking on the role of homeroom teacher, and supporting pupils on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties

Job requirements

• More than two years of relevant experience
• Postgraduate Degree in Education or related teaching experience
• A teaching license recognized by home country’s education ministry
• Familiar with the IB MYP curriculum
• Excellent communications skills
