Middle School Art Teacher

We’re looking for an Art Subject Teachers for an International School located  in Beijing starting from February 2023.

Job Description

• Prepare and deliver lessons to a range of classes of different ages and abilities
• Mark work, give appropriate feedback and maintain records of pupils' progress and development 
• Research new topic areas, maintaining up-to-date subject knowledge, devise and write new curriculum materials 
• Prepare pupils for external examinations
• Manage pupil behavior in the classroom and on school premises, and apply appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehavior
• Undertake pastoral duties, such as taking on the role of homeroom teacher, and supporting pupils on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties
• Communicate with parents and care over pupils' progress and participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings and whole-school training event
• participate in and organize extracurricular activities, such as elective programmer, outings, social activities, school concerts and sport
  

Requirements

• PGCE
  
• Postgraduate Degree in Education or Related Teaching Subject
• A teaching license recognized by home country’s education ministry
• Familiar with IGCSE syllabus and IB MYP concept-based teaching methodology
• IGCSE related trainings
• MYP related trainings
  
• At least 3 years of teaching experience in the teaching subject applied for
• Track record of students’ academic results for IGCSE
