Key Responsibilities:

  1.  Identify analyze and interpret data for marketing campaigns including customer retention and acquisition audience selection and measure campaign effectiveness.

  2. Develop algorithms and interpret patterns to make recommendations that will: increase sales and identify efficiencies for the marketing & sales team

  3.  Communicate business insights to improve positioning image and value of the brand


What you will do:

  1.  Identify and collect primary and secondary data variables to holistically assess marketing challenges and opportunities

  2.  Independently pull and manipulate data to determine results and develop data visualizations into relevant conclusions

  3. Executes set up and data pull for analyzing various marketing programs including A/B testing

  4.  Identify and set up processes for data quality checks. Review relevant data sets and analysis to develop detailed and informed insights and implications to inform strategy and decisions

  5.  Organize insights data and visualizations into comprehensive stories for distribution to leadership partners in support of internal business decisions

  6.  Provide ad hoc and regular reports on key business metrics

  7.  Review analysis with the manager and team members and provide guidance to ensure understanding


 

Position Requirements

  1. At least a Bachelor’s Degree; a Masters’ Degree is a bonus – degrees in statistics mathematics business is preferred

  2. Excellent command of the English language both spoken and written – native English speakers preferred.

  3.  Other languages are appreciated especially Mandarin

  4.  Proficient computer skills and familiarity with research and statistical software such as SQL Google Analytics Google Tag Manager Google AdWords FedStats Excel

  5. Basic SQL and SAS skills

  6.  Basic experience with Tableau/Visualization Software Experience

  7.  Strong analytical skills to work with large amounts of data see through the data and analyze it to find conclusions

  8. Strong critical thinking skill; must look at the numbers trends and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings

  9. Attention to detail; data is precise data analysts must ensure they are vigilant in their analysis to come to correct conclusions

  10. Math skills to estimate numerical data

  11. Excellent communication skills to present findings or translate data into easily understandable documents

  12. Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines and exceed expectations

  13. Self-motivated and goal oriented having a great “can do” attitude

  14. Cross-culture appreciation and ability to work in an international team


Compensation: consists of a base salary and bonuses

  1.  Base salary: 12 000 RMB per month

  2.  Bonuses are awarded twice per year and each time up to one month’s salary

  3.  Bonuses also paid annually for company performance up to ten months’ worth of wages depending on company financial results

  4.  Will also be eligible for Mercku’s Employee Stock Option Plan (ESOP)
