Librarian and English EAL Teacher

We are looking for a Librarian and English EAL Teacher for an international school based in Guangzhou. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in August, 2025.

About the school

Located in Baiyun District of Guangzhou, this international school has four sections: early years, primary school, middle school and high school. It provides both Cambridge International Curriculum and British National Curriculum programs. The school campus is large, well-equipped with classrooms, a Music and Dance area, a Library and Information Centre, an Art room, laboratories, a soccer pitch and other recreational areas.

Job responsibilities

• Design and implement engaging library programs that enhance student learning and support curriculum objectives.
• Teach English as an Additional Language courses, developing students' language skills through immersive and effective lesson plans.
• Assist students in developing research skills and information literacy through individual and group sessions.
• Organize and manage library resources, including cataloging, organizing, and maintaining materials for easy access.
• Promote literacy and a love for reading through various activities, events, and collaboration with teachers.
• Evaluate students' progress in EAL and provide tailored feedback and support to help them improve

Job requirements

• Bachelor degree or above in the related subject
• Teaching certificate
• Two or more years teaching experience in the subject
• Excellent communications skills

Salary and benefits

• Monthly salary of 28,000 to 36,000 RMB commensurate with experience and qualifications
