Kindergarten Teacher

We are looking for an English Kindergarten Teacher for a Bilingual school based in Shenzhen. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in February 2023.

About the school

Co-educational Bilingual (English and Mandarin) school based in Shenzhen’s Longhua area. The campus is located on a beautiful resort and only 45 minutes from Shenzhen city center and 2 hours from Hong Kong island. The school offers a blended bilingual program to Pre-K, Pre School, Prep and Senior School divisions where they progress to IGCSE and A' levels to ensure they are well prepared for IGCSE examinations.

Job Description

• Create outstanding and engaging play-based learning environments
• Build strong routines for young children to enhance their sense of wellbeing and belonging
• Engage in parent communication and offer opportunities for parents to engage in learning
• Document learning to value children’s achievements, celebrate successes and plan for next steps
• Co-plan, co-assess and co-delivery the Pre School Curriculum to your class;
• Develop engaging and developmentally appropriate Inquiry Units within our established program of Inquiry
• Delivery regular language learning opportunities through a range of strategies including Read-alouds, Guided Reading, Role Play, writing tasks and daily re flection activities
• Create meaningful links between different areas of the curriculum within each Inquiry Unit to make learning relevant, engaging and interconnected for our young learners
• Manage daily routines including playtimes and transitions
• Undertake Co-Curricular Activities to enrich student learning
• Organize and participate in events in order to build community, celebrate success and showcase learning to parents

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher in education
• Have at least 2 year relevant teaching experience
• Eligible to apply the English teaching work visa
• Demonstrated understanding of the principles and practices of early childhood frameworks such as the Canadian educational system, PYP, EYFS, Reggio Emilia preferred
• Having a PGCE, QTS or equivalent preferred
• A positive, caring, collaborative team player with a passion for early childhood education

• Monthly salary of 22,000 to 33,000 RMB before tax depending on experience and qualifications
