We're seeking an IB Diploma Programme Coordinator for an
international school in Shenzhen. The role is full-time, commencing in the
upcoming academic year, August 2025.
About the school
The international school, situated in the Nanshan Zone, is
spread over an area of 14,700 square meters and offers esteemed IGCSE and A
Level international curriculum. It is set up to accommodate up to 900 students,
featuring superior resources for Early Years to Sixth Form with boarding
services. The campus offers a comprehensive approach to education, with sports
and recreational grounds, library and common rooms, as well as cafeterias and
lecture halls. This gives students the opportunity to move between different
learning and activities areas, allowing them to learn, work together, and
interact in a relaxed manner.
Job responsibilities
- Oversee the IB DP program, ensuring alignment with the
foundational program and curricular interface
- Guide the IB DP curriculum, aiding teachers in planning and
instruction of all subject groups and core components
- Establish school policies for special needs and assessments;
coordinate with the IBO
- Conduct parent workshops on program overviews and support
strategies
- Implement and adapt the IB DP curriculum and teaching
strategies, ensuring a safe and stimulating learning environment
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs;
integrate IT in teaching where suitable
- Uphold behavior standards; adhere to health and safety
policies
- Foster student self-esteem; maintain regular communication
with parents and community engagement
- Serve as a role model; participate in school meetings and
development activities
- Maintain subject knowledge and engage in ongoing
professional development
- Respect colleagues’ needs; maintain team cohesion and
contribute to the school's efficient operation.
- Lead new school initiatives and respond constructively to
self-evaluation reviews
- Develop IT capabilities in line with the school's digital
learning strategy
Requirements
- Degree with recognized secondary education and IBDP teacher
training or equivalent qualifications for QTS
- Must have experience with the IB DP curriculum and
proficiency in English for teaching
- Show evidence of ongoing, relevant professional development
