Humanities Teacher

We are looking for a Secondary Humanities Teacher for an International School based in Beijing. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible.

Located in Beijing's Chaoyang district, this bilingual school follows the combination of local curricula and the National Curriculum for England as their guides for excellence. Furthermore, the school utilizes a customized dual immersion program for students of the kindergarten, Primary, Lower Secondary and Upper Secondary divisions, designed to meet their individual needs. 

Job details

• Employ an inquiry-based approach to teaching and learning that promotes inquiry, agency and the development of critical-thinking skills
• Differentiate classroom instruction to meet student’s individual learning needs and styles
• Support the English language development of students
• Integrate International and Chinese approaches to learning to deliver a personalized curriculum
• Provide learning experiences that build on students’ prior knowledge, understanding and skills
• Attend and actively contribute to collaborative planning meetings.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, coordinators, specialists and other support staff to develop and document teaching and learning experiences.
• Help to document minutes and actions of collaborative planning meetings and work together with team to complete tasks within the subject area and grade level groups.
• Demonstrate open communication based on understanding and respect.
• Participate in parent/student interviews and conferences.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Education (or equivalent)
• At least 2 years of experience teaching in a Secondary School learning environment
• Certification in relevant teaching area
• Passionate and Energetic in teaching
• English as another Language (EAL/ ESL) qualifications or certificates IB DP Training
• Knowledge of and experience with the IB DP
• Knowledge of and experience with Cambridge (IGCSE and A-level) 

Salary and benefits

• Monthly Salary of 25,000 RMB to 30,000 RMB
