High School English Teacher

We are currently seeking to fill the role of an English Teacher at an International High School located in the vibrant city of Shanghai. This opportunity is for a full-time position, with the commencement of duties scheduled to begin in August 2024.

Job details

• Teach the subject of English to high school students, ensuring an engaging and enriching learning experience
• Instruct using either provided or self-created lesson plans, ensuring alignment with the school's point system
• Grade exams and follow the department's schedule and guidelines
• Collaborate with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department on student discipline and performance issues
• Implement the school's point system to maintain a learning-friendly classroom environment
• Supervise exams, ensuring a well-managed and adequate setting
• Support academically struggling students to boost their performance and motivation
• Prepare for external exams by reviewing past papers as per the revision schedule
• Assist in various duties like student testing, substituting teachers, organizing activities, and managing traffic
• Participate in student life events coordination, including art, open house, and physical education
• Attend training sessions to enhance understanding of the school system and improve performance

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in a related subject matter and/or equivalent
• Teaching Certificate is a plus
• Eligible to apply an English teaching work visa
• At least 1 year of English teaching experience at the secondary education level

Salary and benefits

• Monthly salary of 25,000 to 30,000 RMB commensurate with experience and qualifications
