We are looking for a Head of Secondary Visual Arts for an International School based in Shanghai. This is a full-time position starting from the August 2024 academic year.

Job Responsibilities

  • Teach Secondary Visual Arts subjects to students in secondary education utilizing the IGCSE and A-Level framework and ensuring an engaging and enriching learning experience
  • Preparing lessons and lectures, tutoring techniques, designing and correcting assessments, and writing report comments
  • Collaboratively teach alongside fellow educators, actively contributing to the development and enhancement of the school's curriculum
  • Assess and monitor students’ progress and provide targets so that all learners can succeed and improve
  • Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and their parents and caregivers
  • Develop supportive and safe learning environments


Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher status with 3-5 years of teaching experience
  • Ability to teach the subject of Visual Arts
  • Knowledge of world-class Visual Arts curriculum, including UK and International, and their assessment methods
  • Proficiency in addressing individual needs through differentiated instruction and diverse learning strategies
