Head of Science

We are looking for a Head of Science for an international school based in Shanghai. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in February 2025.

The school seamlessly integrates the Chinese compulsory curriculum with cutting-edge international educational concepts and methodologies, delivering a comprehensive and well-balanced program.

Job Details

• Lead the science department and ensure effective teaching and learning in all science subjects. 
• Develop and implement a cohesive science curriculum that meets the standards of education
• Mentor and support science teachers in their professional growth
• Oversee and manage departmental budgets, resources, and facilities
• Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the science department
• Communicate effectively with parents, students, and other stakeholders regarding science education

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or above in education or related field
• Relevant teaching experience
• Holding a teaching certificate
• Excellent communications skills

Salary and benefits

• Monthly salary is 30,000 RMB and above commensurate with experience and qualifications
• Monthly housing allowance from 4,000 to 9,000 RMB depending on household size
