Position: Accountant

Location: SeaWorld, Shekou District, Shenzhen, China

Nestled in the vibrant heart of SeaWorld, our office is surrounded by a plethora of restaurants, coffee shops, and bars. Conveniently accessible via public transport, our office is within walking distance from the metro and bus station.

About You:

We are searching for a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant with a passion for statistics and an investigative mindset. Proficiency in English is essential, and fluency is required.

Your Responsibilities:

§ Comprehensive Bookkeeping: Manage the financial records of Chinese (Excel), Hong Kong (Xero), and Dutch (Exact) companies, with support from local advisors;

§ Process Optimisation: Establish process guidelines for all accounting activities;

§ Software Proficiency: Become proficient in Xero and Exact, including the completion of

necessary training and courses;

§ Daily Bookkeeping: Perform daily financial transactions and maintain accurate records;

§ Reporting: Prepare and maintain weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports;

§ Cost Management: Oversee cost control and verify cost accuracy;

§ Continuous Improvement: Proactively enhance existing processes at all levels;

§ Fiscal Knowledge: Acquire expertise in fiscal activities in China, Hong Kong, and The

Netherlands;

§ Tax Reporting: Prepare tax (VAT) reports in the Netherlands;

§ Annual Reporting: Prepare and set up annual financial reports.

You will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with your dedicated accounting assistant, for whom you will have a supervisory role and responsibility. In addition, you will work in close collaboration with external accountants located in the Netherlands and Hong Kong.

Our Requirements:

§ Language Skills: Fluent in both written and oral English;

§ Financial Software: Prior experience with financial systems, Xero or Exact preferred;

§ Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (essential);

§ Experience: 1-3 years of experience as an Accountant or Finance Manager (essential);

§ Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred, but not mandatory;

§ Analytical Skills: Strong conceptual and problem-solving abilities;

§ Deadline-Oriented: Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;

§ Team Player: Able to work both independently and collaboratively;

§ Communication: Excellent report-writing and communication skills;

§ Tech Proficiency: Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office and other financial planning software.
