We are seeking an English Teacher for an international High School based in Suzhou. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in August.
About the school
Located in the scenic district of Tongli in Suzhou, this
educational institution spans over 100 acres and has been designed to British
educational standards. The school offers a bilingual junior high and high
school curriculum that incorporates the International Baccalaureate (IB)
philosophy. It provides a leading educational platform for students in Suzhou
and the Yangtze River Delta, admitting students from junior year one upwards,
and focuses on blending international education with traditional culture.
Job details
- Teach the subject of English to high school students
utilizing the AP framework and ensuring an engaging and enriching
learning experience
- Preparing lessons and lectures, tutoring techniques,
designing and correcting assessments, and writing report comments
- Collaboratively teach alongside fellow educators, actively
contributing to the development and enhancement of the school's curriculum
- Assess and monitor students’ progress and provide targets so
that all learners can succeed and improve
- Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and
their parents and caregivers
- Develop supportive and safe learning environments
- Complete other teaching-related activities as arranged by
the school
- Teaching hours: up to 20 hours per week
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or above in the related subject
- Minimum of two years of teaching experience in the subject
- Familiar with AP
- Excellent English communication skills
Salary and benefits
- Monthly salary range of 25,000 to 30,000 RMB commensurate with
experience and qualifications
- Monthly Housing allowance of 3,000 RMB
- Monthly meal subsidy of RMB 1,000
- Airfare reimbursed of up to RMB 10,000 for each academic
year
