English Teacher

We are looking for an English Teacher for a High School based in Shanghai. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year.

Job details

• Teach the subject of English to high school students utilizing the IGCSE/A-level framework and ensuring an engaging and enriching learning experience
• Language and/or Literature lessons for high school students based on a given English curriculum and official A-Level curriculum by Pearson Edexcel Qualifications
• Perform the duties of a full-time A-Level teacher as outlined by the school and Pearson Edexcel Qualifications
• Thoroughly understand and effectively implement the ESL IGCSE and AS/A-Level English Language and/or Literature subject curriculum and assessment criteria as set out in the A-Level Subject Specification
• Regularly log onto the Edexcel Online and Active Teach to frequently have access to updated teacher support materials and guidelines including suggested course teaching materials and past papers
• Work collaboratively with other subject group members to develop common unit plans and assessment strategies
• 20 to 25 Teaching hours and no office hours

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with staff students and parents
• Ability to communicate both orally and written while taking into account ESL community members
• Skilled in working with a range of students of different abilities and backgrounds

• Skilled in (or willing to learn) inquiry-based learning and differentiation

  
  

Salary and benefits

• Monthly Salary range of 20,000 RMB to 25,000 RMB commensurate with experience and qualifications
