English Teacher

We are looking for a English Teacher for an International School based in Shanghai. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible.

Job details

• Manage, create, and deliver ESL IGCSE and AS/A-Level English Language and or Literature lesson s for high school students based on a given English curriculum and office al A-Level curriculum by Pearson Edexcel Qualifications.
• Perform the duties of a full-time A- Level teacher as outlined by the school and Pearson Edexcel Qual infixations
• Thoroughly understand and effectively implement the ESL, IGCSE and AS/A-Level English Language and/or Literature subject curriculum and assessment criteria as set out in the A-Level Subject Specification
• Regularly log onto the Edexcel Online and Active Teach to frequently have access to updated teacher support materials and guidelines including suggested course teaching materials and past papers
• Work collaboratively with other subject group members to develop common unit plans and assessment strategies share resources
• Attend and participate in regular subject group meetings
• Maintain student records; communicate these records with students Maintain deadlines for submitting unit, lesson plans and relevant course materials, as directed by the Subject Leader and/or the school

Requirements

• Ability to establish effective working relationships with staff, students, and parents
• Ability to communicate both orally and written while taking into account ESL community members
• Skilled in working with a range of students of different abilities and backgrounds
• Skilled in (or willing to learn) inquiry-based learning and differentiation
• A sound understanding of contemporary teaching and learning theories and practices in English as a Second Language teaching

 Salary and benefits

Monthly Salary of 18,000  to 25,000 RMB before tax
