English Reading Teacher

We are looking for an English Reading Teacher for an international school based in Guangzhou. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year.

The school is a private international language school which located in Guangzhou; it consists of primary, middle, American high school program, IEP program and a Korean department.

Job details

• Mainly responsible for teaching and classroom management of two courses, English Extensive Reading and English Audiolingualvisual Course
• Offer elective courses according to learners' preferences and specialties
• Select teaching materials based on learners' competence, assist students in making reading plans, and provide effective guidance for implementation
• Design reading task sheets and listening assignments, guide students to complete, correct, and give feedback
• Participate in the regular weekly teaching seminar
• Participate in school and department teachers' group activities, including students' sports meetings and other foreign teachers' related meetings
• Assist the school with other tasks such as enrollment and recruitment

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree BA/BS in English Linguistics or English Literature preferred
• TESOL, TEFL, or other certifications in the area of expertise
• Experience in teaching English Extensive Reading is highly desirable
• Be punctual and responsible in lesson prep, class attendance, homework correction, and teaching evaluations; excel in interpersonal and cross-cultural communication

Salary and benefits

• Monthly salary from 25,000 to 30,000 RMB commensurate with experience and qualifications
