English Literature Teacher

We are looking for an English Literature Teacher for an international school based in Shenzhen. This is a full-time position open to candidates that can start immediate or next academic year in August 2023.

Job responsibilities

• To undertake a designated program of teaching English Literature subject across all key stages, and be a role model for students, inspiring them to be actively interested in the subject.
• Ensure the classroom is well-organized for purposeful activity throughout the day.
• Implement and model high standards of work practice and review, critically reflecting, and evaluating one’s own practice.
• Show great individual care and support for the students, promoting learning styles that cater to individual differences.
• Establish clear instructional objectives, utilizing core teaching resources and supplementary materials.
• Assess and analyse student progress to inform instruction and provide constructive feedback to promote Students’ progress.
• Participate in a culture of professional learning.
• Work cooperatively with fellow-staff members and administrators.
• Contribute to afterschool activities on a regular basis.

Job requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education/related subjects or having teaching certificates
• A good grasp of the methodology of teaching related subjects, with AP, IGCSE, A Level teaching experience preferred
• Have an understanding and ability to teach pupils of all abilities
• Previous experience in an international school preferred
• Must be able to obtain a clean background check
