English Language Specialist

"We are looking for talented native English speakers to translate, edit and test mobile phone interfaces. Candidates must be keen for detail and be able to understand and explain ideas. They should have excellent communication skills in both Chinese and English."

Responsibilities
• Be responsible for the overall quality of the English mobile phone interfaces
• Translation from Simplified Chinese into English
• Creative writing & Cultural adaptation
• Linguistic testing on devises from the end user perspective
• Work with internal developers to perfect the interfaces
• Develop and maintain style guide and key terminologies
• Domestic travel in China occasionally

Basic Requirements
• English Native speaker
• Proficiency in Chinese
• 5 years of experience in translation editing localization or creative writing
• BA degree in translation language studies telecommunications computer science or related field.
• Passionate for intercultural communication and sensitive to cultural differences
• Quick learner and attentive to details
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure

Preferred Qualifications
• Experiences in ICT products preferred
• User experience background preferred
