Culinary Instructor

We are looking for a Culinary Instructor for a Hospitality and Tourism Vocational College (international department) based in Qingdao. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in August 2023.

About the role

The Education Culinary Instructor (Commercial Cookery) is responsible for providing consultancy services around the, delivery of training programs for Advanced Diploma levels in China in Tourism and Hospitality area. The primary objectives of this position are to:

• Provide Hospitality and cookery consultancy services to partner organisations as directed
• Ensure that trainees/students, receive excellent training and assessment for the benefit of employers and industry in a range of training programs being offered.
• Provide educational delivery and practices in accordance with the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) Standards 2015
• Provide support and guidance in the re-assessment of students of the Institute joint partnership programs.
• Develop and update existing training resources as appropriate.
• Assist in relation to the establishment, maintenance and review of training programs.
• Actively maintain and share current knowledge and skills in the programs being delivered.
• Carry out relevant administrative duties.

Requirements

• A Degree Qualification
• Fluent in English
• Advanced Diploma in Hospitality or Tourism Vocational qualification or related fields with a minimum of 10 years relevant industry/training experience
• A minimum qualification to deliver education technology consulting - the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent is required
• Ability to contribute to and be a part of the China team.
