Counseling Psychologist

We are looking for a Counseling Psychologist for an international school based in Guangzhou. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in August, 2025.

About the school

Located in Baiyun District of Guangzhou, this international school has four sections: early years, primary school, middle school and high school. It provides both Cambridge International Curriculum and British National Curriculum programs. The school campus is large, well-equipped with classrooms, a Music and Dance area, a Library and Information Centre, an Art room, laboratories, a soccer pitch and other recreational areas.

Job responsibilities

• Provide psychological counseling and support to individuals dealing with personal, social, or emotional issues.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine client needs and develop treatment plans.
• Utilize effective therapeutic techniques and interventions to facilitate client growth and self-understanding.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in counseling practice.
• Document client progress and provide regular reports to relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals to enhance the care and support network for clients

Job requirements

• Bachelor degree or above in the related subject
• Teaching certificate
• Two or more years experience 
• Excellent communications skills

• Monthly salary of 28,000 to 36,000 RMB commensurate with experience and qualifications
