Chemistry Teacher

We are looking for a Chemistry Teacher for an international High School based in Foshan. This is a full-time position starting in August 2024.

About the school

Foshan's first international-based secondary school. It's located on a quiet green campus in the Nanhai District of Foshan in Southern China and 2 bus stops away from Guangzhou South Railway station. From there, you can travel all over China by high-speed rail. Hong Kong can be reached in less than one hour by high-speed train from the railway station. The school offers British IGCSE/A-Level, as well as American Advanced Placement

Job description

• Teach the subject of economics to high school students utilizing the IGCSE/A-level framework and ensuring an engaging and enriching learning experience
• Preparing lessons and lectures, tutoring techniques, designing and correcting assessments, and writing report comments
• Collaboratively teach alongside fellow educators, actively contributing to the development and enhancement of the school's curriculum
• Assess and monitor students’ progress and provide targets so that all learners can succeed and improve
• Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and their parents and caregivers
• Develop supportive and safe learning environments

Job requirements

• Holding a bachelor’s degree in relevant subject
• Professional teaching certifications such as PGCE or teaching license in the subject preferred
• Minimum of 2 years relevant teaching experience
• Experience working with ELL students and IGCSE/A-Level are considered assets

Salary and benefits

• Monthly salary of 20,000 to 30,000 RMB commensurate with experience and qualifications
• Monthly 3,000 RMB housing and transportation allowance or free on-campus modern fully furnished apartment
