Biology Teacher

We are looking for a Biology Teacher for an International School based in Chongqing. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in August 2023.

Job details

• Teach Biology at IGCSE and A Level to students between Year 9 and Year 13.
• Support the CCA program and take the responsibilities of pastoral care
• Preparing lessons and lectures, tutoring techniques, designing and correcting assessments, and writing report comments
• Co-teach with Chinese teachers and be prepared to develop and improve school-based curriculum
• Assess and monitor students’ progress and provide targets so that all learners can succeed and improve
• Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and their parents and caregivers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Biology and Chemistry or related education major
• Hold a recognized teaching qualification
• Excellent English communication skills
• At least 2 years experience of teaching biology at Senior High School level (UK Key Stages 3-5 or equivalent)
• Knowledge of A Level/IGCSE curriculum, their delivery and assessments
• International and bilingual school working experience is preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Salary and benefits

• Monthly Salary of 23,000 to 35,000 RMB before tax
• Housing allowance of 3,000 to 4,000 RMB/month
