Academic Principal

We are looking for a School’s Principal for an international (Canada) department based in Changchun. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year.

Job responsibilities

• Manage administrative tasks, including proficiently operating the grade and roll system as stipulated by BC, Canada.
• Develop student learning plans to ensure academic progress and success
• Arrange and conduct at least two parent-teacher meetings per school year to foster effective communication between parents and faculty
• Regularly send feedback letters to parents to keep them informed about their children's academic performance and progress
• Assist students in their university job applications to support their future career endeavors
• Coordinate the activities of foreign teachers, including organizing regular training and staff meetings for them
• Observe classes at least twice per semester to ensure the quality of teaching by foreign teachers
• Organize student activities and collaborate with Sino-American projects to celebrate festivals with Chinese characteristics, such as Halloween and Christmas
• Assist with the recruitment publicity and arrange freshman entrance tests
• Take responsibility for teaching at least 1-2 courses to actively contribute to the academic program
• Collaborate with university activities to promote a harmonious educational environment

Job requirements

• Qualified as a principal recognized by the BC Department of Education
• Experience as principal or vice principal in overseas high schools
• Proficient in using office software and able to use or learn multimedia devices quickly
