Subject Teachers

The key responsibilities:

• Teach students at various levels to learn any of the above-mentioned subject in an international environment and guarantee the quality of education;
• Within 25 teaching hours per week. Possibly one evening duty per week.
• Prepare lesson plans in advance that teach core objectives and principles
• Be responsible for implementing the courses, assessment and reporting process;
• Contribute to curriculum, assessment and materials development;
• Track and report performance data to determine if changes need to be made
• Work with fellow Chinese Economics teachers on lesson planning and teaching observation;
• Attend staff meetings or program support activities as needed;
• Contribute to extra-curricular activities and events. Attend special events held by the school and engage with students and their parents;
• Develop stable, solid relationships with students with appropriate boundaries;
• Promote parent/teacher/student associations and encourage students and their guardians to get involved in the school.

Qualifications/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or above, major in Economics, Business or related field;
• At least 2 years of experience in teaching any above-mentioned subject(s) in the curriculum in AP, IB or A-level;
• Native in spoken and written English preferred;
• Certified teachers (AP Reader/IB certified teacher) are strongly preferred;
• High level of initiative and ability to work well in a team;
• Understand the difference of teaching systems and methods between Chinese and western and be willing to accept new teaching modes;
