Job Description:

  1. Helping non-native English speaking writers and reporters to present concise and expressive stories

  2. Providing help and advice on grammar content and story flow

  3. Editing and re-writing scripts when necessary

  4. Fact checking

  5. Writing creative and lively hourly news headlines

  6. Writing breaking news stories

  7. Writing and producing news stories when required

  8. Typing live subtitles in the studio when required

  9. Voicing packages and sound-bites


Requirements:

  1. Excellent television news writing skills

  2. Good broadcast voice

  3. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  4. Ability to work irregular hours including night shifts

  5. Five years experience working in the media industry

  6. Native English fluency

  7. University degree preferably in journalism media communications politics or economics

  8. Excellent writing skills

  9. Well-versed in international and regional politics and economy

  10. Ability to handle tight deadlines

  11. Able to work on a highly cooperative team under pressure

  12. Willing to work flexible and irregular hours

  13. Non-Chinese passport holder
