Social Studies Teacher

We are looking for a Social Studies Teacher for an international High School based in Ningbo. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in August 2025.

Job responsibilities

• Teach Social Studies subjects to High school students with the provided a US curriculum as guide and framework
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials, and provide individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student
• Evaluate students’ academic and social growth, record appropriate records and prepare progress reports
• Communicate with parents
• Collaborate with school administrators and peer teachers
• Participate in curriculum and professional development sessions
• Assist and coordinate activities and events inside and outside of school location

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above
• At least 2 years of subject teaching experience
• Excellent communications skills

Salary and benefits

• Monthly salary of 23,000 to 24,000 RMB before tax, commensurate with experience and qualifications
• Housing allowance of 2,200 RMB per month
• Airfare Reimbursement: Airfare to China and return flight covered by the school
• Assistance with work visa from a Chinese embassy or consulate, a work permit from the PRC's Bureau of Foreign Experts Affairs and a residence permit from the Exit & Entry Administration of Public Security Bureau.
