We are looking for an English ESL Teacher for a primary
school based in Hangzhou. This is a full-time position starting from the
upcoming academic year in August 2025.
About the school
The school, which is located in the Xihu district of
Hangzhou, is a private non-profit organization that offers education from
kindergarten to high school levels. Currently, the school has around 3000
students and employs 20 expat teachers. It aims to provide personalized
education using modern technologies such as Big Data, Cloud Computing, and
Internet of Things, with the internet serving as its basis.
Job responsibilities
- Teach English classes to primary school students with the
focus on reading, writing, speaking, and listening
- Participate in the improvement of the curriculum design of
English subject
- Provide instruction that is consistent and coordinated with
school’s instructional program so as to ensure that students meet and exceed
learning targets
- Plan, organize, provide instruction and deliver lesson plans
that utilize a broad range of appropriate teaching techniques and strategies
- Assess and monitor students’ progress and provide targets so
that all learners can succeed and improve
- Provide a nurturing and supportive learning environment that
encourages student responsibility and incorporates challenging instructional
strategies
- Design and deliver English related optional courses as
needed Supervises students in out-of-class activities during the assigned
working day
Requirements
- English Degree plus/including Teaching Degree /PGCE or
recognized equivalent strongly preferred
- At least 3+ years of experience in teaching English as the
second language
- Experience in teaching K-12 is preferred
- Graduate degree or graduate certificate in ESL
- Teaching experience in China is a plus
