College English Teacher (Hospitality/Tourism)

We are looking for an English teacher for a college (Hospitality/Tourism) based in Hanghzou. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in August.

About the role

The role involves teaching listening and speaking skills, supplemented by English language studies focused on reading, writing, and grammar. In the first year, students will have 8 hours weekly of English-Listening and Speaking and 4-8 hours of English-Writing, Reading, Grammar, and Translation. Classes will take place in a dedicated building of the partner college. The position also includes teaching hospitality or management skills to students.

• Teach and assess English Language studies (Listening & Speaking; Intermediate English) and possibly hospitality or general management units, with up to 24 teaching hours per week
• Source and, where necessary, develop teaching resources and materials to support the joint venture program
• Plan and order classroom materials as needed
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with counterpart teachers
• Contribute to the planning, development, review, and implementation of courses within the joint venture program

Qualifications

• Formal qualification at a minimum level of Bachelor degree, preferable in Hospitality or Tourism Management
• Minimum three years’ experience in teaching English and preferable experience in Hospitality or Tourism industry
• TESOL certificate
• Excellent English communications skills

Salary and benefits

• Monthly salary of 27,000 to 30,000 RMB before tax commensurate with qualifications and experience
• Accommodation allowance: On campus hotel style accommodation is included during the term and up to 3500RMB per month during term break
