Anhui International Studies University (AISU) is a provincial private full-time undergraduate university which specializes in foreign language and literature education. It is the only undergraduate foreign language university in central China. Founded in 2002, AISU was formerly known as Anhui Foreign Languages Vocational and Technical College. Approved by the Ministry of Education in April 2011, the school was upgraded to a common undergraduate university.

The University consists of 10 schools and departments, including the School of Western Languages, the School of Oriental Languages, the School of International Business, the School of International Tourism, the School of International Economics, the School of Literature and Art Media, the School of Information and Mathematics, the School of English Language, the School of Marxism and the Department of Physical Education. AISU offers 35 undergraduate majors, covering four disciplines: literature, economics, management and art, among which there are 11 majors in foreign languages and literature, including 9 foreign languages. The university offers the most foreign language majors among all universities in Anhui province.
