Teacher Librerian

We are looking for a Library Teacher for an International School based in Beijing. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in August 2023.

Job details

• Develop and maintain a vibrant library environment, with a diverse collection of books, resources and other materials, representing the diversity of the student body and supporting the range of the educational programmes.
• Ensure the development of research and independent study skills through taught courses and individual and group support, during Curriculuar and Super Curriculuar sessions
• Promote and support literacy amongst the school community, leading reading and writing workshops and classes during both Curricular and Super Curricular sessions.
• Lead student library induction sessions, library skills sessions and support class visits to the Library
• In liaison with specialist teachers, encourage the use of the Library across all subject areas

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• More than 3 years’ relevant subject teaching experience
• Teaching certificate
• Experience in IB PYP, MYP, DP curriculum strongly preferred
• Excellent English communicative skills

Salary and benefits

• Monthly salary of 22,000 to 28,000 RMB after tax commensurate with experience and qualifications
