Special Education Needs (SEN) Teacher

We are looking for a Special Education Needs (SEN) Teacher for a bilingual school based in Changzhou. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in August 2025.

Job details

• Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs/EHCPs) to meet students’ unique needs (e.g., autism, ADHD, dyslexia, physical disabilities).
• Regularly evaluate student progress and adapt teaching strategies using formative and summative assessments.
• Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, psychologists, and parents to ensure holistic support.
• Create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that promotes positive behavior and engagement.
• Modify teaching materials and utilize assistive technologies to enhance accessibility.
• Participate in training on SEN methodologies (e.g., ABA, Makaton) and stay updated on legislation (e.g., SEND Code of Practice, IDEA).
• Adhere to child protection policies and promote student welfare

Requirements

• You have experience of working in international or bilingual schools
• Bachelor’s degree in Education/Special Education; valid teaching certification.
• SEN-specific qualification (e.g., Postgraduate Certificate in SEN).
• Minimum 2 years teaching students with SEN in a school setting.
• Understanding of relevant frameworks (e.g., EHCPs, IEPs) and safeguarding protocols.

• Monthly salary of 27,000 to 37,000 RMB commensurate with experience and qualifications
