Primary School Teacher

We are looking for a Primary School Teacher for an International School based in Xian. This is a full time position starting in August 2025.

About the school

The International School in China marks the education group's second venture within the country. Initially established as an Elementary School, it has since evolved into a comprehensive K-12 institution, incorporating kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school departments. The school combines the Chinese compulsory curriculum with leading international educational concepts and methodologies, providing a well-balanced program.

About the role

As a primary school teacher, you will serve as a homeroom teacher and teach subjects like English, science/social studies, personal/social class, math, and homeroom sessions as well as:

• Preparing lessons and lectures, tutoring techniques, designing and correcting assessments, and writing report comments
• Assess and monitor students’ progress and provide targets so that all learners can succeed and improve
• Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and their parents and caregivers
• Contribute to and develop a comprehensive curriculum for School
• Support students learning by collaborating with other teachers and departments of the school, such as supporting English and in other subjects and programs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in relevant/specialist subject area
• More than 2 years’ related experience (IB MYP/DP curriculum)
• Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent
• Excellent English communicative skills

Salary and benefits

• Monthly salary of 24,000 to 30,000 RMB commensurate with experience and qualifications
• Monthly housing allowance of 4,000 to 9,000 RMB
