We are looking for a Bilingual Physics Teacher for an international high school based in Suzhou. This is a full-time position starting in August 2024.

 

About the school

This high school in Suzhou is the first and only international high school in partnership with America to be recognized and approved by the provincial Ministry of Education. The school’s curriculum is student-centered, preparing them for top universities by emphasizing critical thinking, English proficiency, and a combination of Chinese and American educational practices.

 

Job responsibilities

  • Teach the subject of physics to high school students utilizing the IGCSE/A-level framework and ensuring an engaging and enriching learning experience
  • Prepare lessons and lectures, tutoring techniques, designing and correcting assessments, and writing report comments      
  • Work together with co-teachers to develop and improve school-based curriculum
  • Assess and monitor students’ progress and provide targets so that all learners can succeed and improve
  • Up to two supervision duties per week, in the evening (6:30-9:00 PM)
  • Any other related duties assigned by the school

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in the subject you apply for or related subject
  • At least 8 years of teaching experience or outstanding teaching results
  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin
  • Teaching license
  • Experience with IGCSE and A-Level curriculum
  • Candidates with experience as a class supervisor will be given preference

 

Salary and benefits
