Physical Education PE Teacher

We are looking for a Physical Education PE Teacher for an international school based in Shanghai. This is a full-time position for the 2025–2026 academic year.

Job Responsibilities

• Teach Physical Education across secondary school grades, delivering engaging, standards-based lessons
• Plan and deliver a varied PE syllabus: team sports, individual units, fitness, wellness, and healthy lifestyle education
• Organize and supervise extracurricular sports clubs, inter-school tournaments, and events
• Assess student performance using written assessments, observations, and practical skills testing
• Collaborate with fellow staff to develop and enrich the PE curriculum
• Monitor student progress, set improvement goals, and communicate positively with students and parents
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment during all activities

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a closely related field.
• Teaching certification (e.g. PGCE, B.Ed, TEFL with PE endorsement, or international equivalent).
• A minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience in PE educational settings
• MYP PHE teaching experience or other IB teaching experience

Salary and Benefits

• Monthly salary of 20,000 to 32,000 RMB commensurate with experience and qualifications
