Music Teacher

We are looking for a Music Teacher for a bilingual school based in Nantong, China. This is a full-time position starting in the 2025/2026 academic year.

Job responsibilities

• Teach music across theory, instrumental skills, and vocal/performance
• Lead choirs and ensembles; organize school concerts and recitals each semester
• Integrate multicultural music into curriculum delivery and projects
• Plan engaging, age-appropriate, student-centered lessons with clear objectives
• Assess, record, and report progress regularly; maintain student portfolios (e.g., ManageBac) and communicate with families
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary initiatives and participate in school events and parent conferences

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music or Music Education
• Proven musical ability and teaching experience
• Familiarity with diverse musical genres and traditions
• Familiarity with A-level curriculum

Salary and benefits

• Monthly salary of 25,000 to 35,000 RMB commensurate with experience and qualifications
