Humanities Teacher

We are looking for a Humanities Teacher for an International High School based in Guangzhou. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in August 2023.

The school is a private international language school which located in Guangzhou; it consists of primary, middle, American high school program, IEP program and a Korean department.

Job description

• Teaching of social studies related courses of International American High School including U.S History, World History, World Geography or AP U.S History, etc.
• Developing the curriculum, planning lessons and sequences of lessons to meet student’s individual learning needs and to ensure student’s progression 
• Using a range of assessment and reporting methods that show student’s achievement in relation to learning outcomes.
• Keeping student achievement data up-to-date on reporting software for communicating mastery levels and goals to appropriate members of the school community.
• Providing clear and constructive feedback to students

Job requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor degree in education or subject related major
• Have more than 2 years' teaching experience in relevant social studies subjects in international schools
• Familiar with the American High School Curriculum like Common Core and Advanced placement
• Eligible to apply for the English teaching visa

Salary and benefits

• Monthly salary of 30,000 to 35,000 RMB depending on experience and qualifications
