Head of Primary Science

We are looking for a Head of Primary Science for an international school based in Wuxi, Jiangsu province. This is a full-time position starting from the August 2025 academic year.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of science teachers across all primary year levels
• Design, implement, and review an engaging, inquiry-based science curriculum
• Promote hands-on, practical learning aligned with international standards
• Coordinate science-related events, activities, and cross-curricular initiatives
• Monitor teaching quality through lesson planning, observations, and feedback
• Collaborate with school leadership to develop departmental goals and policies
• Support the professional growth of team members through mentoring and training
• Manage science resources, equipment, and safety procedures in all learning environments

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
• Minimum 2 years of relevant teaching experience
• Strong understanding of curriculum planning and assessment
• Experience teaching EAL learners across Grades 1–6
• Comfortable working in a bilingual/multicultural environment

Salary & Benefits

• Monthly salary range of 22,000 to 40,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications
