Head of Mathematics and Science

We are looking for a Head of Mathematics and Science for an international school in Guangzhou. This is a full-time position starting ASAP.

This is an international school accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA-CESS), the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), Cambridge IGCSE, College Board.

Job responsibilities

• Teach the subject of mathematics and physics to high school students utilizing the IB DP or/and IGCSE framework and ensuring an engaging and enriching learning experience
• Reporting to and working with the Head of School, Coordinators of IGCSE and IB respectively on all matters concerning the teaching and development of the subject, matters of pastoral care and budgets
• Working with the Coordinators of IGCSE and IB respectively on all curriculum related matters, the IB Coordinator for all IB related matters and for matters related to pastoral care and student well-being, and to the CAS Coordinator in planning and/or supervising CAS activities
• Working with the University Counseling Team in providing timely predicted grades and references

Job requirements

• Bachelor degree or above in the related subject
• Teaching certificate
• Two or more years teaching experience in the subject in higher education
• Excellent communications skills
• Good understanding of teaching in British/International context

Salary and benefits

• Monthly Salary 15,000 to 30,000 RMB depending on experience and qualifications
