English Translator

Responsibilities：

1. Reads through or listens to material in one language ascertains understanding of the meaning and context of that material and converts it into a second language making sure to preserve the original meaning.


2. Consults with subject matter experts and other colleagues in order to understand specialized concepts and translate them appropriately.


3. Edit standardize proofread revise and finalize translated material prepared by other employees and contractors.


4. Adheres to industry quality standards established by the Association of Translation Companies to ensure that all completed work follows legal and ethical obligations.


5. Provide training to employees on proper style of communication.

Requirements：

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Language or related field.


2. Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in translation.


3. Fluent in English and Mandarin a requirement.


4. Must be able to write and speak clearly and effectively in the languages they translate.


5. Must be sensitive to cultural differences and expectations among the people whom they are helping to communicate.


6. Strong information gathering and researching ability- Knowing how to find information and identifying essential information.


7. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced hectic environment and to meet specific deadlines.
