English ESL Teacher

We are looking for an English ESL Teacher for an international School based in Foshan. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in August 2023.

About the school

Foshan's first international-based secondary school was founded in 2016. It's located on a quiet green campus in the Nanhai District of Foshan in Southern China and 2 bus stops away from Guangzhou South Railway station. From there, you can travel all over China by high-speed rail. Hong Kong can be reached in less than one hour by high-speed train from the railway station. The school offers British IGCSE/A-Level, as well as American Advanced Placement, courses following their 4C Ethos: Cheerful, Cooperative, Creative, Challenging through their middle and high school divisions.

Job description

• Teach the school’s English courses to middle and high school students
• Prepare lessons, lectures, tutoring techniques, designing and correcting assessments, and writing report comments
• Co-teach with Chinese teachers and be prepared to develop and improve school-based curriculum
• Asses and monitor students’ progress and provide targets so that all learners can succeed and improve
• Hold/participate in parents’ meetings

Job requirements

• Holding a bachelor’s degree in related majors in English, Literature, Translations etc.
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience English
• Experience teaching English as a second/foreign language to students in secondary education
• Experience of teaching in one or more of the following IB, AP, A-levels and IGCSE;

• Professional teaching certification such as TEFL/TESOL/CELTA/DELTA or Teaching license in related subject or PGCE or equivalent

Salary and benefits

• Monthly salary of 20,000 to 28,000 RMB commensurate with experience and qualifications
• 2,500 RMB house and transportation allowance per month or free on-campus modern fully furnished apartment
